The Beginning

Covid - 19 Pandemic and the strict combat measures to eradicate it had left the migrant and low income segment of the society in severe crisis. As the country wide lock down was implemented in March 2020 several people living on the margins of poverty was left with no income and food. To help them at that great hour of need, we (a group of self driven volunteers) initiated a relief program of providing bread packets and water bottles.

As the crisis continued to loom over us, By April 2020 we extended our relief program by providing freshly cooked meals to certain areas around Coimbatore where the situations were much worse.

Fortunately, a lot of supportive contributors joined hands with us. With this massive support, we became a registered charity under the name "Thaai Charitable Trust".

Along with the help of "Helping Hands" we at Thaai Charitable Trust has been able to provide packets of bread and water bottles on alternate days from April 1st to 7th. Thadagam road, Mettupalayam road, Gandhipuram, Trichy road, Marudhamalai road & nearby villages were the regions concentrated during the distribution drive.
